Man City sempat unggul terlebih dahulu melalui Raheem Sterling di ujung babak pertama (44'), tapi Chelsea bisa membalikkan kedudukan di babak kedua lewat aksi Hakim Ziyech (63') dan Marcos Alonso (90+2')

Laga ini bak duel pemanasan menjelang final Liga Champions di akhir bulan Mei 2021 nanti. Dua tim biru ini akan bertemu lagi untuk memperebutkan gelar paling bergengsi di level klub.

Artinya, kemenangan ini seharusnya jadi modal berharga dan bisa membuat skuad Chelsea kian percaya diri. Namun, sebagian fans The Blues tidak setuju dengan gagasan tersebut.

We were better both halves. I really wanted a draw so they don’t see us coming in Istanbul. Now they know we’ve beaten them twice they will be extra prepared. Tuchel should have played with their mind a little here.
