Bola.net - Pelatih Giovanni Trapattoni memanggil Paul McShane (Hull City) guna menggantikan tempat Kevin Foley (Wolverhampton) di skuad Rep. Irlandia untuk Euro 2012.

Foley adalah seorang pemain multi-posisi yang tengah dibekap cedera. Dia sudah berada di pusat latihan Irlandia, tapi Trapattoni memutuskan untuk menggantinya dengan McShane, yang termasuk dalam daftar standby.

Ini merupakan pergantian personel kedua Irlandia dalam tiga hari terakhir. Sebelumnya, gelandang Paul Green dimasukkan sebagai pengganti Keith Fahey yang mengalami cedera.

Pasukan Trapattoni menghuni Grup C bersama Kroasia, Italia, dan Spanyol.

Kiper: Shay Given (Aston Villa), Keiren Westwood (Sunderland), David Forde (Millwall).

 

Belakang: John O'Shea (Sunderland), Richard Dunne (Aston Villa), Stephen Ward (Wolverhampton), Sean St Ledger (Leicester City), Darren O'Dea (Celtic), Stephen Kelly (Fulham), Paul McShane (Hull City).

 

Tengah: Glenn Whelan (Stoke City), Keith Andrews (West Bromwich Albion), Aiden McGeady (Spartak Moskva), Darron Gibson (Everton), Paul Green (unattached), Damien Duff (Fulham), Stephen Hunt (Wolverhampton Wanderers), James McClean (Sunderland).

 

Depan: Robbie Keane (LA Galaxy), Kevin Doyle (Wolverhampton), Shane Long (West Bromwich Albion), Jonathan Walters (Stoke City), Simon Cox (West Bromwich).
